Privacy Policy
Quiss creates a lightweight account on first launch and stores profile, quiz, trophy, notification, friends, match, and room information needed to run the app. You can later connect Google or Apple to open the same player on another device.
What Quiss stores
The app keeps profile and gameplay information that is necessary to schedule quizzes, show your progress, and sync Social play.
- Quiss does not collect or store your birth date or exact age.
- Your nickname, selected topics, active hours, 13+ eligibility status and, when available, the source of the age confirmation (Apple’s shared age range or your selected age range), and an optional profile photo if you choose one.
- Daily schedule, answer history, streak, score, extra packs, pending submissions, friends, friend requests, 1v1 matches, Trick rooms (invite code, written answers, votes, and room scores), and Powers rooms (invite code, chosen answers, power targets, and room scores).
- Trophy progress, earned tiers and milestones, and the earned trophies you choose for your public showcase.
- An anonymous Quiss account created on first launch, plus a push token if notifications are enabled. If you connect Google or Apple, those sign-in identifiers are stored so the same player can be opened on another device.
How the data is used
Stored data is used to deliver quizzes, keep progress consistent, and support Social play and notifications.
- Schedule up to three daily rounds during your chosen active hours, keep each round answerable for 15 minutes, and attach answer actions to live quiz notifications.
- Show your streak, score, extra packs, and recent activity after you reopen the app on this device.
- Calculate trophy progress from your gameplay and show earned trophies, tier upgrades, and your selected showcase.
- Sync your public nickname and optional profile photo across the leaderboard, friends, and people search, along with Friendly and online matches, Trick rooms, and Powers rooms. Quiss may also show non-personalized ads at app open, before the first Training pack of the day, when creating a Trick room or a Powers room, or when starting revenge play. App-open ads are skipped when a live round is open.
Who processes data
Quiss uses Google services to host the account and show ads, and Meta for optional advertising measurement.
- Google Firebase hosts authentication, profile data and optional profile photos, quizzes, extra packs, trophy progress and showcases, the leaderboard, friends, matches, Trick and Powers rooms, and push notifications.
- Google AdMob may show non-personalized ads at app open, before the first Training pack of the day, when creating a Trick room or a Powers room, or when starting revenge play. These ads remain non-personalized. If you allow tracking, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may use the advertising identifier for frequency limits and aggregate ad reporting. If you decline tracking, the SDK does not send the advertising identifier. The tracking prompt also covers optional Meta install measurement.
- With your tracking permission, Meta receives install and app-opening events, device identifiers, basic app and device information (such as app and SDK versions, operating system, and event times), and SDK diagnostics to measure and optimize Quiss advertising. Meta may link this data with activity from its services and other companies for advertising measurement. Quiss does not send Meta your nickname, profile photo, account identifier, push token, quiz answers, or social-game content.
- Support email sent to support@quiss.me is read only to respond to the request.
Optional ad measurement
After setup and the 13+ age confirmation, iOS may ask whether you allow tracking. Meta measurement starts only if you allow it. Refusing or having a restricted tracking setting does not limit any game feature, and Quiss does not use another identifier to bypass that choice.
- Change or withdraw tracking permission in iOS Settings. Profile shows the current permission and provides a shortcut. Quiss checks it again when the app becomes active and stops new Meta activation events if permission has been withdrawn. Data already shared is subject to Meta's retention and deletion processes.
- Apple's SKAdNetwork may attribute an installation through delayed, aggregate reporting without sharing a device identifier with Quiss or Meta. This does not require tracking permission. Quiss registers an install-only conversion after age confirmation.
- No advertising measurement runs before age confirmation. Development, simulator, preview, and automated-test builds do not send install events to Meta.
- Read Meta's Privacy Policy for its processing, retention, and privacy controls. Privacy requests about Quiss can be sent to support@quiss.me.
Your controls
You can manage how much information the app keeps or exposes.
- Add, replace, or remove your profile photo, and edit your nickname, topics, language, and active hours from the Profile tab.
- Choose, change, or clear your public trophy showcase in the app.
- Turn notification permission on or off in iOS Settings. Expand a live quiz notification to see the four answer options.
- Use Delete account in Profile to remove this Quiss account everywhere, including your profile photo, score, trophy progress and showcase, friends, quizzes, extra packs, Trick and Powers rooms, and leaderboard rank. This cannot be undone.
